Hello,
Welcome to Milestone Bordeaux. We have been sharing our lives with Dogue de Bordeaux's for over 12 years now. It was Daniel's dream to own a DDB and in 1998 we took the plunge and purchased our first, Xena. Unfortunately, we lost Xena way too soon at the early of 5 to Lymphoma but she will always be with us in our hearts. She was what we call our pivotal Bordeaux. She brought about the addiction of sharing our lives with the DDB.
We will only have occasional litters as we believe in quality versus quantity. All of our DDB's are part of our everyday lives living with free access in our home and spending alot of time at Daniel's work. Therefore, they get a tremendous amount of socialization. All of our DDB's are our pets first!!!!
I am currently the President of the Canadian Dogue de Bordeaux Club and we are very involved in preserving this breed in Canada and I have recently been appointed the Ontario Director role for the Canine Federation of Canada.
The registry for the Bordeaux in Canada. I take these positions very seriously and want to ensure the DDB is protected and preserved in Canada.
Recently I have had the privilege of being appointed the Canadian Correspondent for the wonderful book The World of Dogues de Bordeaux 2008/2009 edition.
We would like to thank Donna and Laurier Deschambault who have been terrific mentors. We have learned so much in such a short period of time as Donna has been a wealth of knowledge and has always been willing to share.
For us the health of the puppies we produce is key. We believe in health, temperament and type without sacrificing one for another which is very difficult but we try to make the most educated and informed decisions as possible.
