•Has a playful nature

•Has a high tolerance for children and other animals

•Requires very little grooming due to their short coat

•Has a massive and powerful physique

•Is not a nuisance barker

•Is extremely loyal to their family

•Is very affectionate

•Has great perseverance and does not intimidate easily

•Has a guardian instinct

•Requires very little exercise

Can you tolerate:

•A giant breed of 100lb plus in your vehicle and car

•Snorting, snuffling, wheezing, grunting or loud snoring

•Twice a year shedding

•Stubbornness that requires a patient and firm owner

•Animal aggression or fearfulness toward people if not properly socialized

  at a young age

•Slobbering or drooling when hot, excited or when they eat or drink

  (not continuously)

•Can be afflicted with health issues that affect all giant breeds

•A lifespan of 7 to 10 years

•A breed that does not tolerate extreme temperatures well especially heat

•Learn as much as possible about this breed

•Attend obedience classes starting at an early age (3 months)
